Father's Day

Every Man's Dream for Father's Day!

We had a truly awesome Father's Day spent with both sides of the family!  It was wonderful and we will be doing it again some time soon!  We are truly so blessed to have such awesome families.  I love this man more than life itself and he is a better father than I could have ever imagined for my girls!

Let's catch up a bit.....

It has been over a year since I have written on here and holy smokes my girls have grown up so much it makes me want to cry! So many things have happened in the past year.  The girls stayed at a new "day care" this and year and have become best friends with a little boy named Jamison Carter. They are literally the three amigos!  They also went to 2 year old preschool this year and made many new friends.  They attended many sporting events with me this year and absolutely loved every second of it.  At football practice they never ceased to amaze me, between tackling each other and trying their hardest to push the sled, they feel in love with a few high school boys that they think hung the moon!  Basketball games were the best because it half time Gabriella, Isabella, Jamison and Carter owned the placed and always provided some very entertaining dancing.  We also signed the girls up for BlastBall this year (prequel to Tee Ball).  They seemed to love practice for about 10-15 minutes and the other 30 minutes was like trying to get a dog to pay attention to fake bacon. LOL Their first game everyone in the whole family came and they would not do anything.  Eric and I had to hold them and run around the bases.  Needless to say they were a little shell shocked by the crowd that had not been at their practices.  The other two games they did wonderful!  We are hoping to sign up for Soccer or "Nastics" as they say (gymnastics) for the fall of the year.  The girls current obsession is Beauty and the Beast.  My high school students put it on as a play in the spring of the year and they have been mesmerized every since.  We have truly watched the DVD of the play everyday this entire summer.  Both of the girls have pretty much memorized the entire thing and sing every song.  Isabella is hysterical because she holds her arms up as she sings just like she is performing on Broadway.  Each day with these too is a true blessing, hard work and never a dull moment!  I hope to update much more often from this point on.

Labbe Road Trip 2011

So, yes we are crazy and we are driving to Connecticut to visit Eric's family!!! Right around 19 hours and 1,000 miles :) We have roughly 800 more miles to go and I can already tell this is a trip for memories to be made on! We stopped about three times within the first hour... Isabella said she had to poop. We stop get both girls out because Gabriella has to suddenly poop now an head into the store. It was closing! We load back up and head across the street to another gas station. Everyone gets out and Isabella squeezes out want Eric would call a mouse terd! LOL She tells us her belly feels so much better :) We get back in the car and the girls want a pillow so I dig out their handy dandy neck pillows. Isabella had three huge tags on it and she is my picky child so I go to rip the tag off... BAM! Instant snow in the swagger wagon in May! So what to I have Eric go in and get to repair the rip, good 'ol Duct Tape (dad you would be proud)! Patch the hole right up an away we go!!! About 45 mins later Gabriella starts panicking and says she peed. To save time Eric an I decide I can just unbuckle the bottom latch on the car seat and pull he diaper off an slide another one on. I open the sides up on her pull up and go to pull it out....BAM instant snow slush! LOL The diaper ripped and all of the tiny super absorbent polymer (chemistry word) is everywhere, filled with pee might I add. I manage to get it cleaned up and Gabby changed with no stopping and here we are about 30 mins later two sleeping babies and about to make it into our third state!!!!! I am sure there will be more stories to come :)

Kids Say the Darndest Things!

Two quick stories from this past weekend.  Eric and I went to a couples baby shower on Saturday night and the girls stayed with Grams and Mr. Joe.  When we picked them up on Sunday Gabriella says, "Mommy did you and Daddy go to the baby shower?"  I said, "Yes, Miss Lindsay's belly is getting so big!"  Gabriella says, (with a super serious face) "Did you and Daddy get wet?"  Eric and I laughed so hard.  I remember this was a very confusing thing for me as a child too!  I did not understand why anyone would want to go to a shower with lots of other people.

The next day Isabella took a huge poop pee in the potty... Yay!!!  For some reason our children call their poop "alligators".  So, later that day Gabriella tells Eric that Isabella's alligators went to see Jesus!  Our girls are hilarious and make us laugh so hard everyday!!!  They are quite the singers too constantly serenading us with many many songs from "wheels on the bus" to "How Great is Our God"!  They are precious and remind us to count our blessings everyday!!!

Hilarious

The girls spent the day with Grams and Mr. Joe so Eric and I were very excited to see them when they got home!!!  We got dinner ready and Isabella, Gabriella, and Eric were sitting at the table getting ready to eat.  I had just sat two bowls of cous cous on the table for the girls and told them it was hot.  I went back into the kitchen to get drinks and when I came back to the table Isabella was eating her cous cous with a huge silicone oven mit on!!  I said, "Eric what is she doing...?", he says, "she says it hot!"  I about wet my pants I was laughing so hard.  What a smart girl!!!

Outing with the girls!

So I decided to take the girls with me last night to go watch the BHS One Act Play (only 30 mins).  Well of course we arrived right after the play had started and we were there for about five minutes when this precious little voice says, "I need to go potty!", and then the other precious little voice chimed in, "I need to go potty too!".  Off we went.  We had to walk all the way around the back of the room all the way to the front of the room and exit to the right of the stage to go to the potty.  However, both girls were very quiet and were amazed by the potty at Momma's School that flushes itself! :)  When we got back both girls sat and watch the entire play and as soon as it was over Isabella shouted "Game Over!"  They are hysterical and we have the best times together.

Side note just so I don't forget 10 years down the road when the girls take a Poop on the potty they tell us they are making an Alligator... LOL.  I have no idea where they got that one from.  On the potty note they are doing so good right now using the potty.  It will be amazing when we have no more pull ups!!  I cannot believe it has went by so fast.  Another funny potty story we went to watch one of Lexi's Basketball games last week and both girls had to go to the potty multiple times so after about our third trip we were walking back up the bleachers to sit down and my mom ask Isabella did you go potty and she says very loud and proud, "No, I just farted!"  What little ladies I have.  I am sure it made my Dad's skin crawl because he does not like the "F" word.

It's Been too long

So I promise I am going to try and update the blog more often.  Otherwise I am never going to remember all of these precious stories.  Two quick stories.... Last week some time I was getting ready for work and both of the girls were hanging out in my bedroom with me.   They were dressed and we had just finished putting their shoes on.  I was fixing my hair and Isabella says, "Mommy I want some gum!"  I said o.k. let's wait until I finish getting ready.  Then I notice that Gabriella is smacking away on a piece of gum and I say, "Gabby where did you get that gum?"  She says, "Off of Izzy Shoe!!!"  I was laughing so hard.  I could just barely tell her to spit it out.  FYI they had not wore those shoes in quite some time! Ewww.  They are precious!
The girls on Valentine's Day!
