Gabriella, thinking "What the crap is this thing on my head??"

It seems unbelievable that the girls are already one month old!! They are getting more and more beautiful as each day passes. They were very excited when their Dad got home and Wednesday and they had a great day at Grammies house for Thanksgiving. Their two littlest cousins Macie and Ella sang to them and patted them on the head. Next Thanksgiving and Christmas is going to be a blast with all of the little children I cannot wait. Both girls are continuing to grow each day and are getting more and more of a personality as the days go by. They had another bath this week and they got to try on their bows from cousin Mandi. They are adorable and they told me they would love for cousin Mandi to make some more!! Their Dad has to go out of town again this week so the girls are going to have withdrawals again (so is Daddy) but he will be back soon thank goodness. It is hard trying to take care of the girls without Eric that is for sure. I am going to include some new pictures and a link to look at all the pictures I have taken so far. Hope you enjoy!!

Here is the Link with the rest of the photos from this month. Enjoy!!

Mom home alone

Eric went out of town last night and he is gone until Wednesday so this is officially the first time I have been home alone with the babies for an extended time!! Of course my Mom stayed the night last night so I had some help then. Thank goodness, because both babies had some really bad gas so it was a rather long night. But once they were asleep both sleep until about 5:00 AM and then went back to sleep until around 8:00 AM. They are the sweetest things ever but it is really hard to try to feed one while the other one screams. It makes you feel so helpless sometimes. Hopefully they will have no memory of waiting for their sister to get through eating while screaming at the top of their lungs. Yesterday we were going to try and take the girls to church, but their feeding schedule totally did not work out. They were going to end up needing to eat as soon as we got to church so we decided to wait until next week or either after Thanksgiving. Plus, they are both so little still and it is so cold outside. However, we did go to Grammies and Pops' (my mom and dad) house yesterday where they were cuddled by many family members and where they slept most of the time. Then wouldn't you know as soon as we got home they did not want any part of sleeping at all!!! We hope to have many visitors this week as I will need help managing them by myself most of the day. I am going to include a picture of their really cute outfits from yesterday, a nice resting place Gabby found, and an adorable picture of Odell loving on Isabella just a few minutes ago!

Baby Girls

This is us after our bath. We are squeaky clean and Dad fixed our hair so nice. (Izzy on Left, Gabby on Right)

The girls are doing wonderful! We gave them their first bath this week and they were the cutest things I have ever seen. Both girls seemed to enjoy the bath and just laid back and relaxed. Eric fixed their hair once they were out of the tub. He tried to spike both girls hair up and Gabby looked like she had a little Mohawk. The girls have been sleeping better too. I have only been having to get up and feed them one time during the night which has been great because I am actually sleeping in my bed. The twins also got to meet their cousins Macie and Ella this past weekend. It might be the cutest thing you have ever seen. Macie who turned two on Tuesday just wants to hold them the whole time and tell you their names. If they go to sleep she will scream at them to wake up. They are all going to have so much fun growing up together. We have 4 little Pruitt/Labbe girls under the age of 3.

Two Little Piggies

We went to the doctor this morning and both girls have surpassed their birth weight!!! Gabriella who weighed 6lbs 13.3 oz at birth now weighs 7lbs 3 oz and Isabella who weighed 6lbs 1 oz at birth now weighs 6lbs 9.75 oz! We are super excited because that means we do not have to go to the doctor again until their 2 month visit Yipee!!! They have both also grown a half an inch. They are doing just wonderful. Now if they could just sleep a little bit longer we would be in business.

2 Weeks Old

I can truly say that these have been the best two weeks of my life! Thank God for Mothers and Mother-in-laws. I do not know what I would have done without both of them the past two weeks. My mom seems to have the magic touch and can handle any situation. I am truly blessed to have such a wonderful caring mother and I do not know what I would do without her. The girls are doing great and continue to melt our hearts day by day. They are some of the strongest little things ever. They can both hold their heads up on their own it is just amazing! They actually got out of the house today and went to Grammies and Pops for the first time. They got to play with their other cousins, Lexi, Macie, and Ella. Macie who will be 2 on Tuesday absolutely adores them. It is the cutest thing I have ever seen she just wants to hold them all of the time and she gets so excited she stutters! Lexi is so good with them too she is truly a little mother and I know that they are going to worship the ground she walks on when they are older. Both girls are so alert and have the biggest blue eyes you have ever seen. Eric is going to be wrapped around their fingers for the rest of his life. They actually sleep through most of the night two nights this week so that was awesome. Plus Eric and I actually slept in our bed last night and they slept in the room with us in their Arm's Reach Cocoons. They look like little baby hammocks and they seem to love them. I will have to post a picture of them in their Cocoons later this week. We go back to the doctor tomorrow morning for a weight check. I am keeping my fingers crossed that they will both be back at their birth weight or even beyond. They still just seem so little. I cannot wait until they are about 10 lbs each. Also this week I have mastered a new nursing position and have been able to nurse them at the same time on several occasions. It really makes life easier when I can do that and tomorrow I think I am going to try and pump some too but I am not going to give them a bottle until after Thanksgiving if I can help it. Odell continues to do great with the babies. He just sits down in front of the couch while I feed them and lets me pet his head or he will get up on the couch and lay down right beside me. I am reminded each day how truly blessed we are and what a great future our family has in store.

Precious Girls

The girls are doing wonderful! We went to the doctor on Monday and Gabby weighed 6lbs 10 oz and Izzy weighed 5lbs 14 oz so they are both almost back to their birth weights which is great. We are no longer supplementing formula which I am very happy about. However, all I do is feed and feed some more. I have been letting them go a little longer in between feedings the past day though. I figure if they are getting 8 or more feeding in and want to sleep a little longer why not. Eric has went back to work this week and he misses the girls so much. He calls the house at least 3 or 4 times a day to check on them. It is so cute! My Mom and his mom have been staying at the house with me during the day and night this week as well which has been a great help. That means I actually get about 3 hours or so of sleep and even get to take a few naps during the day!! I was super excited because today I got to shave my legs...I think Eric was beginning to wonder if he had married a man they were so hairy. That is the first time I have been able to shave my own legs in about 4 months or so and it felt liberating. The last couple of months of pregnancy Eric actually had to shave my legs for me. What can I say I think I have the best husband in the world!! Oh one funny story...the girls seem to have some really good force behind their poops. Almost everytime they poop you will hear or feel it on your hand as it exits their little bodies at the speed of light. So, Eric was asking me while changing Isabella the other night if they pooped without their diaper on if it would shoot out. Well on cue Isabella let out a loud little toot and out came flying poop. Eric screamed like a school girl and jumped to the side so he did not get any on himself but it did go all in the floor and on the dresser. I was laughing so hard I about peed my pants! It was perfect...these girls are going to drive their daddy crazy for the next 18 years or so and I cannot wait!!!

Happy Birthday!! One week old.

I know I have been a little slack with the blog lately but I have been a little busy being a milk factory for two beautiful growing girls. This first week has been full of its challenges but I think it has been the most amazing week of my life. These two little girls are so precious I just cannot get enough of them. Actually I think their Dad is worse than I am because I have to make him put them down at times other wise he would hold them all day long. They have been great babies thus far. Sure they do not sleep really well at night but I thought that was a given. During the day they sleep like logs though. I am feeding them every two hours during the day too and every three hours during the night so I am literally a jersey cow!!! I am feeling pretty good too. I am still a little sore from the operation and my body is never going to be the same but it was totally worth it! We had our first doctors visit on Thursday and Isabella had gained 2 oz so that was awesome and Gabriella had stayed the same which is fine because she is a little piggy. We also went to the lactation consultant on Friday to make sure I was doing everything right and the lady said that I had "Super Babies" and I was so easy to work with for twins so that is awesome. Currently I am trying to master the technique of feeding both babies at once which is quite the task but when I can get it down we will be in business. The babies will go back to the doctor on Monday for another weight check and lets keep our fingers crossed that they have gained more weight that way we do not have to start with the formula again. I am determined to be strictly breast as long as I can. The girls are both so cute they have the funniest little personalities already and they are both the spitting image of their father all the way down to the complete blow out poots! Also an update on the dog, Odell Dooley is doing so good with the babies it is amazing. He has to be where ever we are and he does not try to jump up or get them at all he just calmly lays down beside the chair and waits. The only problem he is having is being scared of the backyard because we hooked up an electric fence around the bottom and he has been shocked twice and now you have to drag him outside. I am going to include quite a few pictures with this blog and also a link to go look at other pictures. I hope you enjoy and as the days go by maybe I will be better at updating the blog.

THEY ARE HERE....

Well as most of you already know the girls are here. Their names are Gabriella MillieMae Labbe and Isabella RubyRae Labbe. Eric and I finally got to come home from the hospital yesterday and we are truly exhausted so this is going to be very short and sweet. I will have to get on later and add some more detail. We have been truly blessed and could not ask for more beautiful daughters. We are both head over heels in love. Just remember to keep us in your prayers that are little bundles of joy will continue to gain weight and be successful at breast feeding. We go for our first doctors appointment on Thursday. Also, Eric seems to be getting sick as well. We love you! I will post pictures soon.
